ENCAPSULATED CALCIUM SULPHATE RAISED ACCESS FLOORING

Encapsulated calcium sulfate raised access flooring is a popular choice for commercial buildings. This type of raised flooring system consists of a high-density calcium sulfate core that is encapsulated in galvanized steel sheets, providing a sturdy and durable solution. The panels can be easily installed and removed, making them perfect for areas that require frequent maintenance or upgrades. Encapsulated calcium sulfate raised access flooring is known for its exceptional fire resistance and acoustic performance, making it a safe and noise-reducing option for a range of commercial applications. Its modular design allows for flexibility in configuration and customization, ensuring that it can meet the specific needs of a building's layout and design. These panels are non-combustible and adhere to Dawn standards as tested by CISCA.

SYSTEM PERFORMANCE CRITERIA

System performance criteria are the most important to consider because they represent the performance in a typical installation. Panel only criteria such as concentrated load is often used to specify floor systems however, the test is not representative of an actual installation because it is performed with the panel testing blocks, not actual understructure.

*A tests are performed using CISCA's Recommend Test Procedures for Access Floors with the exception of Design Load
1. Design load is tested using CISCA Concentrated Load test method on actual understructure instead of steel blocks. Design load is determined by taking the lesser value of ultimate load divided by two or the point at which permanent damage begins to occur (yield point).
2. Safety factor is the multiple of Design load to the Ultimate Load. International standards and Dawn Modular Floor recommend' a minium of 2.

UNDERSTRUCTURE OPTIONS

INSTALLATION

The finished access floor wil be rigid, free from vibration and rocking panels within a 3mm level over the entire space. Panels will be accurately cut to fit around all permanent features. All whole panels will be completely interchangeable allowing for any future changes. The access foor will maintain these origina conditions when sufficient panels have been removed for normal underfloor access.

ADVANTAGES

Enhanced durability: Encapsulated calcium sulphate raised access flooring is highly durable and long-lasting, capable of withstanding heavy loads and foot traffic. This is particularly important in commercial office buildings where there may be a large number of people moving around on the flooring on a daily basis.
Improved fire safety: Calcium sulphate is an inherently fire-resistant material, and encapsulated calcium sulphate raised access flooring can help to improve the fire safety of a building. This can be particularly important in commercial buildings where there may be a greater risk of fire due to the presence of large numbers of people, electrical equipment, and other potential sources of ignition.
Better acoustic performance: Encapsulated calcium sulphate raised access flooring can help to improve the acoustic performance of a building, reducing noise transmission between floors and improving overall sound insulation. This can be particularly important in commercial buildings where there may be a need for privacy and confidentiality, or where a quiet working environment is required.
Enhanced flexibility and adaptability: Raised access flooring systems are designed to be highly flexible and adaptable, making it easier to reconfigure the layout of a space or install new equipment and services. This can be particularly important in commercial office buildings where businesses may need to adapt quickly to changing market conditions or new technologies.
